Costs, clearly

Insurance & Financing

Nobody should learn the price of their dentistry after it has been done. Here is how we handle insurance, estimates and payment.

Working with your insurance

Bring your insurance details to your first visit and our team will help you understand your plan: what it covers, what proportion it pays, whether an annual maximum applies, and whether any waiting periods affect the treatment you need.

Where a treatment plan is substantial, we can submit a pre-treatment estimate to your insurer so you have their written position before committing. Plans differ enormously, so we describe likely coverage as an estimate rather than a guarantee — the final determination always rests with the insurer.

Written estimates before treatment

Every recommended treatment plan is provided in writing with fees itemised. If a plan can be staged, we show you which parts are urgent, which are elective, and what each stage costs, so you can pace treatment to your budget without risking your health.

Ways to pay

  • Major credit and debit cards
  • Cash and bank transfer
  • Health savings and flexible spending accounts
  • Third-party financing plans for larger treatment

Ask our team which options currently apply — we will confirm details in writing with your estimate.

A note on value

The least expensive dentistry available is prevention. Two hygiene visits a year cost a fraction of a single crown, and they are the most reliable way to keep your total dental spending low over a lifetime.

Common questions about cost

Do you accept my insurance?

Contact our team with your plan details and we will tell you exactly how we can work with it and what to expect in terms of coverage.

What if I have no dental insurance?

Many of our patients do not. You will receive the same written estimate, and we can stage treatment or discuss financing so cost is spread over time.

Why do estimates sometimes change?

Occasionally what looks like a filling turns out to need a crown once the decay is fully visible. If anything changes, we stop and discuss it with you before continuing.

Will you tell me if I can wait?

Yes. If monitoring a small problem is clinically reasonable, we will say so rather than treating it now.
